actress, voice-over actress, translator
My name is Myy Lohi, and I'm a Finnish actress, voice-over actress, translator (English to Finnish) and an all-over stage enthusiast.
I graduated from the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts (Helsinki, Finland) with a Master of Arts degree in 2019. Currently I'm a freelance performer stationed in Helsinki. I enjoy a vast variety of genres in theatre – from dialogue-driven drama to musicals, puppetry and shadow projections. As part of my acting studies, I completed a special study period in musical theatre. My singing range is that of a mezzo soprano. Exploring speech, words and the human voice is a particular interest of mine. I learn my lines very quickly and usually everybody else's too. Among other things, I'm very good at playing little children's parts. I frequently lend my voice to Finnish dubs, and I also translate for dubbing purposes. With dubs, my first priority is to attain a natural, fluent Finnish version of the original work. I enjoy learning new skills. I practice circus and stage combat regurlarly. I've also tried my hand at pole-dancing and archery. I play the violin, but very poorly. I speak excellent English and moderate French, Japanese and Swedish. I have also studied German and, very briefly, Russian. When it comes to different languages, pronounciation is my strong suit. At the moment, the easiest way to reach out to me is via LinkedIn. |
