My name is Myy Lohi. I'm an actress, voice actress, director and translator from Finland.
I studied at the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts in Helsinki, and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in 2019. Currently I'm a freelancer stationed in Helsinki. I enjoy a vast variety of genres in theatre – from intense dialogue-driven drama to musicals, circus and puppetry. As part of my acting studies, I completed a special study period in musical theatre. My singing range is that of a mezzo soprano. Speech, words and the human voice are particular interests of mine. I'm a curious, intelligent and versatile stage actress. Among other things, I'm very good at playing the parts of small children. I frequently lend my voice to Finnish dubs. In dubbing, my attaining a natural, convincing, fluent Finnish version of the original work is the most important thing to me. Besides acting in them, I also provide Finnish translations for dubs. I have also translated one play for the stage. As a translator, it is my top priority is to embrace the beauty and nuances of the Finnish language. I have written and directed multiple miniature plays. I speak excellent English and moderate French, Japanese and Swedish. I have also studied German and, very briefly, Russian. When it comes to different languages, pronunciation is my strong suit. |
